While Huawei and Xiaomi are pushing the boundaries of foldable design, Apple is turning up the heat with its latest iPhone 18 Pro lineup and its first foldable iPhone. Here’s a quick look at the biggest tech launches making headlines this week: Huawei Mate XT2 Series The Huawei Mate XT2 Ultimate is an innovative tri-fold smartphone featuring a 10.2-inch inward-folding display. The model shifts from the previous Z-fold style to a U-shaped inward-folding design, protecting the main screen when closed.
Powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro chipset and advanced stacking technology, this model packs a 5,600mAh to 6,000mAh silicon-anode battery that supports rapid wired charging. Xiaomi 18 Fold The Xiaomi 18 Fold is Xiaomi's first mid-size wide foldable smartphone, featuring a passport-sized compact body when closed and a wide aspect ratio when open. The cover display features a 5.38-inch outer screen with a 1712 x 1168 pixel resolution, while the inner display is a 7.58-inch 120 Hz AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1672 x 2364 pixels.
The phone runs on Xiaomi's proprietary 3-nanometre XRING O3 deca-core chip and packs a large 6,000mAh battery. Apple iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max The Apple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max deliver the most advanced pro camera system in an iPhone and huge leaps in battery life and performance. Oppo A7 Pro This mid-range smartphone comes with a 6.57-inch flat OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max octa-core chipset, it packs a huge 8,000 mAh battery with fast wired charging. The model features a 50-megapixel main rear camera paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, plus a high-resolution front selfie camera.
